Jewel-Shoe-Jewel, 2009, Final Collection, London College Of Fashion, ITS#NINE, ModAmont Award

Inspired by toy bricks, this is a shoe collection that could be transformed into a jewellery collection in different time space. I meant to design an open-ended system in order to create immeasurable jewellery form possibilities depending on users’ unexpected lives.
The fine details on jewellery are inspired by the classic costume jewellery and cut by photo-etching process and screwed bolt & nut by hand.

To wear jewellery, simply unscrew the heel-top and construct the steel components into jewellery. To wear shoes, simply dismantle the jewellery components, pile up them into heel, and screw the heel-top back. All shoes are the same design without jewellery component and heel-top. Therefore, this series are 4 pairs of 8 design high-heels and jewellery.
